Microdosing the very basics
and the do’s and don’ts
Before we jump into microdosing, most, if not all, scientific research at this juncture does not provide definitive evidence of benefit or harm.
Definitions:
Definitive Evidence (Scientific): Definitive scientific evidence is conclusive proof of a scientific theory or hypothesis established through rigorous experiments and studies that are peer-reviewed and accepted by the scientific community.
Microdosing: Microdosing is the practice of taking small amounts of a psychoactive substance to achieve subtle effects without a full-blown hallucinogenic trip. It has gained popularity in recent years and is believed to benefit creativity, focus, and emotional well-being.
First, is Microdosing Dangerous?
The challenge here is that we don’t know; there is growing evidence that microdosing can provide a range of benefits, but these are from small studies and individual experiences. However, there is not enough research on this from a scientific approach. Psilocybin is thought to be safe in small doses.
Key Concerns: Although there are a lot of positives, one of the main concerns is the potential for adverse psychological effects such as anxiety and paranoia or other adverse psychological effects. These are more likely to occur in those prone to anxiety or with a mental illness history.
Additionally, microdosing can cause physical discomforts like headaches, nausea, or fatigue. These are typically temporary.
From Microdosing Moms to Veterans with PTSD-
Microdosing is becoming more and more popular, and it is helping 10,000s of people. Is microdosing for those who are struggling with depression or need therapy? Moms in Colorado certainly don’t think so. “Thousands of Moms are microdosing with mushrooms to ease parenting stress”- listen to the 5-minute news report here.

How Often Should I Microdose?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. The frequency of microdosing depends on factors like your tolerance, desired effects, and the specific substance (Mushroom types, Cannabis, LSD etc.).
